A Bit of Cycle Café History

The first recorded instance of a cycle café ride was in 1818 when Goethe described how his fellow students would ride to the “Paradise Park and Café” in the German town of Jena. Their mounts were the “laufmaschinen”pedal-less wooden “hobby horses” invented in 1817 and the forerunner of the bicycle.
Soon you can help to keep the tradition going in Deal Towns own cycle café – Route 1 Café Yvon2.
